Ou record run to the airport was somewhat called to a halt by the Australian family in the queue who refused to accept that ‘Internet Check-in’ was for people who had already checked in on the internet. Just to add insult to injury, they were carrying double the accepted luggage limit. I hope they were emigrating…
We whiled away the hours with a game of hangman, although to be fair, there is only so much hangman that can be played with someone who is unable to spell. Opting for another tactic, I took Will to Yo! Sushi so he could practice eating with chopsticks.
The flight was reasonably uneventful. Surprising since it was full to the brim with young children. As sleep proved impossible (I was providing a pillow for Will), I sought solace in Transformers, Batman Returns, Stardust and another film that I can’t remember. Stardust was good.
We arrived at the airport and were picked up by Matt and Delph. Within 10 minutes we were swimming in ther pool. Bliss. Later that evening we were taken to the local mall to watch the snow fall. Seriously. I’m waiting for Matt to upload his photos to his PC and I’ll put one on the blog to prove it.
After a few beers and a call home to check in, bed called…
