So, being half way across the world with everyone bar my elder sis was quite weird! The morning was punctuated by trips to the airport, opening of Chritsmas presents and blog updates.
The afternoon involved lunch at a local bar, followed by a trip to the beach and a swim in the Pacific. It’s not often you can claim to have swum in three different oceans in less than a week!
In the evening, we all wandered to a restaurant in Christchurch for stonebaked meat. This involves the diner being presented with raw meat (we have mixed surf and turf for starters, wild animals for main) and a block of granite that has been heated to 450 degrees celsius. You then cook your own food. Lovely. Will polished off a fantastic fillet steak. Lol.
A more relaxed day is planned for tomorrow – my parents are flying to Sydney for a cousin’s wedding, so Danda, Will and I will probably head off to Christchurch. Laters!
