Just as Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan passed their sacred knowledge down the line to an apprentice, (apologies non Star Wars fans), the time has come for me to pick up Andy’s light sabre and unleash my own powers upon the council of Hodes. This week we’ve a photographic blogging theme. Why? Well it’s just that we’ve a few humourous and fun sites that really show what the web is great for and hopefully bring some smiles amongst all the depressing news going on right now….. and that is the only reason I can think of.

Looking at these photos it’s a miracle the Olympic games ever took place, but I hope, like me, you’re impressed with the ingenuity shown and intend to take on board some of the ideas after this years Christmas party should you miss the last train home.
Second (thanks Anthony) we have the wonders of http://upsidedowndogs.com (yup there is no www). A stunning collection of images all showing man’s best friend upside down. And why not. It’s pointless but a lot a fun. Note the “Have you been bitten by a dog?” Insurance claim banner that appears once you’re into the site.
