We talked last week about Twitter and it’s been in the news a lot this week.
Firstly, the was the Stephen-Fry-stuck-in-a-lift escapade, where thousands of people followed the Tweetings of Mr Fry as he and some fellow visitors to Centre Point spent an hour stuck in a lift. Aleksander Orlov, the cute frontman (front-animal?) for the recent Compare the Market campaign, was swift to respond, with updates to the Compare-the-Meerkat website, blog, twitter page, twitpic, Facebook page and so on. More recently, though, Peter Horrocks, the Director of the Global News at the BBC has been forced to apologise after publicly confirming the recruitment of a number of new section heads to a colleague on Twitter. “Nothing too contentious in that”, I hear you say.
